Te Aura

Port - Opua

Bay of Islands, Northland

Te Aura - OpuaThis fast and exceptionally roomy Grainger catamaran underwent a massive refit in 2003. and presents as a brand new boat. An astonishing 2 metres of headroom and thoughtfully laid out, finely crafted light oak joinery makes the most of her saloon, and from the ensuite master stateroom to the beach-like boarding platforms Te Aura ("The Breeze") has a delightful feeling of space and comfort.
A true gourmet's galley with every convenience makes cooking fun - even under way. The rig, while fast and efficient, can easily be handled by your skipper alone, although any guests keen on having a go are most welcome to take the helm or a winch, ease away from the moorings and "wind her up". (Terry reports achieving upwards of 14 knots in the right conditions!)
